The Peace of Mind Family Program is a customized 90 minute on line session designed to support your family’s specific needs. Based on age and the stage of your family, the members of your household will learn how to better manage challenging dynamics, prevent escalation, and reach individual and family goals. By better understanding how the brain works, how to recognize physical cues, emotions, and different thinking styles, family members benefit from learning together in order to create a mental wellness culture within their home.
Fine tuning parenting approaches can make a tremendous change in the well-being and behavior of children and teens. Triple P Parenting is designed to help reassure parents that they are doing great things, and to offer strategies to encourage desirable behavior, and manage undesirable behavior. Triple P is delivered in several formats and levels of intervention. The program is based on decades of research and is presented with a clear, common-sense approach. At Peace of Mind, the Triple P program is delivered to parents individually in four or six sessions based on their goals. Parents who are not living together are invited to participate based on their comfort level. Triple P is also offered on line, and in a group format. Peace of Mind is a registered vendor for the Simcoe County District School Board and approved to provide services in Barrie, Innisfil, Bradford and Alliston public schools. Small and classroom group programs can be customized to meet the needs of specific students or classes, and are available on line upon request. The Peace of Mind program is an eight week Cognitive Therapy Based Program designed to help students recognize how their thoughts impact emotions and behavior. With an emphasis on recognizing and balancing thoughts that make us feel afraid, the program addresses core human fears such as judgment, humiliation and exclusion. These themes support students with social interaction, self-esteem, school success and emotional regulation. The Peace of Mind program can be offered in a small group, or classroom format. Podcasts and Presentations are also available to schools upon request and are designed to address specific topics of concern for staff, parents and students.
